There is a doctor “on-call” 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If an emergency situation should occur after hours, a physician can be reached by calling the office number and following the prompts to reach the physician.

If the situation is critical, however, call 911 and go to the nearest hospital; the hospital will contact Dr. Ranjan or Dr. Mira Mahajan or the on-call physician.

Just a note to thank for your thoughtfulness. Hearing from you has been very important in a time of great grief and recovery.

February and March events here were simply awful. Bill and I had a debilitating virus for over 2 months, then I fell- broken pelvis, broken ribs, and a back injury; and then, a week after I got out of hospital rehab, Bill dead. The pain and sorrow have been so great that your kindness has been crucial in my recovery.

I am feeling better, walking a little more each day, and slowly moving through the loss of my beloved Bill Van Brunt.

I wanted to write and thank you for getting me through the throat and ear infection I had recently. I rarely get sick enough to see a doctor. But if I do now, I will not hesitate to call for an appointment. I am usually very nervous having to see a doctor; however, your pleasant, kind personality changed that.

Dear Dr. Mahajan,

I am writing to thank you for telling me to stop smoking and for giving me a prescription for ‘Zyban’. I didn’t follow your instructions to the letter but the drug obviously works well as I took it for a week and then stopped smoking. I did not up the pills to two a day but just took one for three more weeks. I found an almost immediate improvement in my vision which surprised me and am now turning to get fit. Anyway I am extremely grateful to you and hope that Zyban is working as well for your other patients.

I want to thank you for your kindness with my mother. I feel like with your frankness and straight forwardness you gave her “permission” to pass on. This is what she needed most at this stage in her life.

My mom was always one to follow authority and no one so far had taken the time to let her know it was probably time to move on. Sometimes this kindest thing you can do for someone is to be truthful. It is true that Dr mahajan deeply cares about his Patients. I couldn’t imagine seeing anyone else. I have been a patient of his for 10 years – he has been there for me through many life changes and several health issues which he has managed perfectly. He keeps me on track of all of my necessary lab work, annual checkups and annual mammogram. Matter of fact this last year he reminded me to go get it done in July and they found breast cancer this time. Early stage – thankfully. He’s been empathetic with me through my husbands journey of cancer and then his death. He has known not only my health history but also my sadness and my joy. He knows the name of my dog and my granddaughter- he also motivated and pushed me constantly to quit a 45 year smoking habit. And I did it. I am no longer a smoker and I’m so proud to say that. I never thought I could actually do it. He pushed and pushed though. ??. He always greets me with his funny sense of humor , he’s always joyful and I know I’m in good hands with him. He is my doctor and I’m proud to be his patient. I have come to know his staff like family and they know me too. I am always greeted with smiles and hugs and warmth. He takes the tome to let you vent if you need to , or to just tell him about your recent vacation or a story of your grandchildren , etc. Hes the best and his office staff is the best. Hopefully he will be my care provider and see me through my ripe old years until it’s time for me to go home.
